Description
The Arduino LCD Keypad Shield is developed for Arduino compatible boards, to provide a user-friendly interface that allows users to create buttons such as menu, arrow keys, enter selections etc. The board consists of a 16×02 white character LCD display with blue backlight, LCD contrast adjust and a reset button.
The Arduino LCD Keypad Shield consists of 5 keys — select, up, right, down and left. To save Arduino I/O pins, the keypad does not use individual Arduino pins instead the keypad is integrated using only one ADC channel. This is done by creating 5 levels of different Analog voltage values by creating 5 stages of different voltage dividers.
